Fine Artists - Christopher Edward Turner

“…The Canadian landscape with its skies and seasons, its myriad moods and subtle temperaments, offers a creative person an amazing opportunity to express his or her feelings…”

Chris continues to develop his vivid and evocative style of landscape painting, capturing the scenery of Ontario and Quebec from the Georgian Bay islands to the Gatineau hills.

Chris studied landscape painting with Bruce Heggtveit and other local artists in the Ottawa area.  For a period of time he was pursuing other interests such as creative writing and studio recording.  After graduating from University of Waterloo in Honours Mathematics and Computer Science, 1990, he backpacked and biked throughout Europe and Asia before teaching computer programming courses in Ottawa.

The last three years has favoured Chris with a prolific amount of work – 600+ paintings.  Health conscious and regularly practising meditation, he is always searching for the best balance between creativity and spirituality.

Born in Scarborough, Ontario and raised in Thornton, Ontario, Chris paints seasonally in Oro Medonte, Ontario and Alcove, Quebec.
