Sculpture - Andrea Turnbull

Andrea Turnbull was born in Toronto and lives three hours north in the small town of Port Carling, Ontario.  Graduating from McMaster University with a B.A. in History Andrea continued to run her successful paint contracting business.  This led her to the field of construction, where she was able to learn how to properly operate power equipment and hand tools, while also learning the many structural elements involved in creating large scale buildings.  While employed as a construction coordinator, Andrea often spent her free time creating her art pieces.

Her love of wood, hand tools and the ability to reshape them naturally, led Andrea to find her true passion in woodcarving.  Andrea is a self taught artist who draws her inspiration from the history she studied to the world she lives in.  Her work is forever evolving.
