Gray Ogle considers wildlife art a “visual
education of our natural world,” and in her
own work she tries to convey a sensitivity
to her chosen subject matter… “a glimpse
into a moment of that animal’s life.”
Her favourite subjects are the ones that
present the greatest challenge to her, such
as wolves, moose and deer. “I try to portray
the animal as an individual,” she explains,
“perhaps with a personality that would be
recognized. This is the difficult part.”
