Laurie's
first solo show of large scale 'plein aire'
landscapes opened in Toronto in December of
1999. Her immediate and honest approach to
painting in the landscape now carries
through to still life and urban subjects. In
addition, her life drawings and animal
studies are part of many collections where
again, working directly from observation
remains at the core.
