Raised in Canada, educated in Los Angeles
California at Art Centre College of Design,
receiving a BFA in 1972.
Painting in
Acrylics during recent years, John has been
able to better express a sense of colour and
how it affects our lives. Colour is by far
the most exciting aspect of these paintings;
more importantly are the colours that are
not expected.
Traveling by
motorcycle has enabled him to enjoy the
beauty of a blooming hillside, nameless
waterfalls or the discovery of a little
known lake. These are small moments in our
lives, we remember not the times, but the
moments.

John's
interpretive landscapes reflect a fresh
approach to the wonderment of the outdoors.
"Happy." "Content." "Comfortable." "At
Ease." These are some of the words used to
describe John's work. He has painted the
great outdoors of Ontario, Quebec,
Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and the New
England States.
John's paintings can be found in galleries,
private collections and offices across North
America.
